I began building these looms after talking with Lone Bjoernskov-Bartholdy.   She is a teacher and worker at the Viking Fortress in Trelleborg, Zealand,  Denmark.  Her husband built her loom so she could teach this technique.  As she says it is inspired by the Viking technique and her work, but is not authentic. In order to be more authentic, she says, you should use wool from Spelsau sheep, and the wool should be plant dyed. Finally this technique is influenced from a VERY small piece of ribbon found in Hedeby grave 182-85.   I learned this all from Lone  and reverse engineered the loom to work a little better and be more commercially attractive.  You can find her at  https://www.facebook.com/sysselkisten/?fref=ts.   To use this loom, I created this video https://www.facebook.com/gypsey.teague/videos/10209972801292890/.  Thank you Lone for your lead.
